SKKU: Week 5, Day 5 (Myeong-dong, Dog Cafe)

So I went out and spent money today, so that means a post! Otherwise, my posts would probably just be things like "today I did my laundry and I also washed my pillowcase, but it shrunk, so it's just making my pillow extra fluffy right now." I went to go explore Myeong-dong (명동) with Joy, and consequentially all my money fell out of my pockets and into skin-care/makeup stores.

Started off the day with black bean noodle lunch. I've been wanting to try it ever since I watched "Castaway on the Moon."

What you see when you get out of the station.

To be honest, I get hopelessly lost.

Shy mascots that were advertising cat and dog cafes. Which we couldn't seem to find, and we weren't all that hungry, so we walked around.

Super tall ice cream cone for 2000원!

Found some brands.

And SKIN FOOD.

There's a lot of make-up stores here. I think we passed by around 4 different MISSHA stores. The people advertising their wares are pretty aggressive, as Joy found out with Nature Republic.

Joy and I wanted to watch Warm Bodies so we headed towards Lotte Cinema. We'll be walking through that sky walkway later.

There were machines to get our tickets, and it was definitely an ordeal. The only showing for Warm Bodies was at 2:50p, so when we looked at the time, it was 2:48p. It was fate, we had to try.

You were such a hassle to get.

After the movie, we walked along the skyway.

Taking advantage of the good lighting and view, though the view kind of got glared out.

There were resting places and a sky garden.

People told me to take pictures with cutouts of possibly famous Korean celebrities, so I did.

More cut outs, and cute hammock chairs.

Going down 6 flights of escalators.

Some of these displays are really fun.

This was outside the police department.

Though we finally were able to find the dog cafe! It was 8000원 to go in, and we got a drink. It was kind of pricey, but I'm sure the money goes to taking care of the dogs. Also the peach iced tea I got was very good.

A sheet with all the names of the dogs.

To be honest, the dogs didn't shower anyone with love really, aside from the people that were working there. I felt so slighted by all the dogs :c

I liked this dog the most.

She seemed tired of me though.

And laid down on my hand when I was petting her.

Super big!

This dog sat on Joy's lap.

Cute pug sitting funny while dogs were being groomed.

After the dog cafe, we wandered around again and when it was 6, tried to find a place to eat.

We ended up at this Japanese restaurant on the 2nd floor.

Joy made a comment on how I always take a picture of her while she is on her phone, but I think I pull my camera out when I'm idle.

Katsudon!

We split ways after this because Joy had a church thing and I still wanted to look around.

Found the cat cafe! But I was full.

I got lost to be honest, without Joy. It must've taken me around 30 minutes to find the subway station again.

Never let me back into Myeong-dong.

Some of the lights right outside of the west gate of SKKU.

What I bought; a lot of masks I wanted to try from MISSHA, and a M Covermaster Stick Concealer I've been wanting (same shade as my BB cream). I got Fresh Green Tea toner and emulsifier from Nature Republic (at first I wasn't going to, but I looked around and saw that a lot of the other toner/emulsifier sets at other places were more expensive than Nature Republic) and they gave me even more masks to try. And cute hand cream from TONYMOLY because my cuticles are very dry and cracked and I kept on bleeding throughout the week.

That's all! Tomorrow I have a date at an aquarium, so there'll be another post soon!
