SKKU: Week 1, Day 6 (Lotte World)

Relatively long post today; trying to have a lot of fun before classes start and time gets eaten up.

So all the girls on my floor have been raving about this so I set out to try it for breakfast.

Looking promising.

Sometimes I like taking very unflattering photos of myself. Morning shower hair.

Joy looking as beautiful as ever while helping me finish this. It was alright, but too much for me.

On our way to get passport photos, there was this nice mural.

They were closed, so instead I withdrew some money and we went to go eat at a small restaurant nearby. They had dango colored chairs.

Ryan's.

 Joy's and mine.

Glen already started eating before I could take a picture.

Lonely trek back after accomplishing nothing we set out to do.

But the sky was blue instead of a dismal white-gray!

We ditched Glen and headed to the subway station (WHICH IS UP A HILL (never getting over it (pun intended)))

There was this interactive "Places to Go In Korea" screen, and this cat was the preview picture of the module.

Reached the station where Lotte World is.

There's a lot of beautiful fountains here.

Long line for regular ticket, so we just went to get a membership since we'll probably visit a 2nd time.

Part 1 of the epic saga of me failing at mirror pictures.

Part 2. Seriously why do I throw around dutch angles and you can't even really see us.

These were behind the service counter. Ryan signed up as our guardian.

Blue Card!

Escalator up into Lotte World.

It was so huge.

We went outside first.

I really like this picture.

Egg Gummies

One bag for gummies, one bag for chocolates.

I'm so happy they had these chocolate pebbles you have no idea. Ryan and Joy watched me shovel a whole scoop into the bag.

Waiting in line for the best ride, the Atlantis.

Buildings along the wait.

Joy's scarf didn't fit. But oh gosh Atlantis was the funnest in my opinion, even if they did drain the water. However, it was also blisteringly cold and my glasses kept on trying to fly off. Worth the wait, would ride again 10/10.

Next ride was the Gyro Drop.

View while waiting. The pictures make it look more wonderful than it really was to stand around waiting in 1°C weather.

Our mission to buy Ryan obnoxious hats.

Also a quest to find the headbands Joy and I wanted.

After we walked out of that hat shop, Joy really wanted pictures with this so we made her go first. I really wanted a picture with this so I made Joy go first.

Revenge is sweet.

Tiny feet for Ryan.

This machine is rigged.

What Ryan won at darts.

Pictures from French Revolution ride:

WOW!!

Couldn't take this picture fast enough to keep all the graphic effects around it.

We were walking to the boat ride when Ryan stopped us for a parade about to start soon on the 2nd floor.

We were on the 3rd floor so the view was great.

Suddenly flamethrowers and fireworks!

And then the actual parade. There was a lot of kid interaction, it was really cute to see kids dance with the belly dancers and costumed people.

I think my camera gets confused in dim lighting.

Back to waiting in line for the boat ride!

This is how the world looks from my height--
joking joking, though most of the line waits were like hours long so I sat around on props whenever I could.

Ryan wanted to see if I wanted a picture before last ride.

Though Ryan meant a proper picture.

On the very end of the boat.

Everyone is happy except me because I'm crying on the inside. At the top, Ryan kept on saying to raise my hands, but instead I just screamed a little and clung to the safety bar for support because I felt like I was going to fly out. Boat rides are the worst.

Castle at night is much prettier. On a mission to find the headgear we wanted as well as getting some corn.

All that was left of Ryan's cash.

Buttered corn that was not as delicious as I expected it to be.

Some band was performing when we were about to leave. I think they were new or barely starting out?

Couldn't really see though.

Joy's polite "No" face.

On our way back.

 Everyone is super exhausted.

 Late night meal.

This burger was not a premium burger.

Good night everyone! Classes start on Monday so Sunday will just be everyone trying to find out where their classes are.
