SKKU: Week 3, Day 1 & 2

As promised, I'll be combining days unless something significant happens to warrant its own post.

On Monday I woke up really sick but trekked to class (and probably left a trail of snot along the way.) Class was the same as usual, and I managed to get some more plum juice.

Delicious. I've liked all the Del Monte fruit juices so far. So very different from American fruit juice. I've tended to notice that most things here have been sweeter, and the only real savory things have been spicy or meat.

Lunch was a choice between Korean and Western meal, and the Western meal was some sort of white soup (slightly sweet and good with rice), rice, some sort of meat with BBQ sauce, and a roll with a packet of strawberry jam.

After my last class for the day, Joy and I went to check out the clubs that were advertising and we kind of meekly wandered up to tables to see what they were about (because all the signs were in Korean.) I signed up for a cartoon drawing club haha. It was rather hard to communicate (they had gestured for us to sit down in Korean, and kind of went "oh" when I started speaking in English) but we got our points across so hopefully I can start making Korean friends.

I loved dinner today; it was dumpling soup and rice, with little fishcake things and some odd flavorless jelly things. I've completely like...stopped getting the kimchi side dishes because I know I won't eat it.

And then I passed out at 7PM and woke up at 2AM on Tuesday. Felt much better though, after drinking a lot of water and then

Went to class as usual, nothing interesting. After class, went back to the cartoon drawing table to ask about meeting time and date. And then lunch! My classes always end when lunch starts. The picture of lunch got corrupted, but it was some sort of white sauce pasta (with rice?) and soup, as well as a corndog. But right after lunch...

Ryan said our lettermans came in! They're really warm, but rather stiff so I'm trying to break them in.

I have no shame.

Dinner for today was curry and fried fish things with ketchup (I'm sorry I'm getting less and less descriptive with my food). There was also some sort of corn side dish that I completely managed to bypass.

After dinner though, something bad happened. We to Tous les Jours and...

Got a cake between Noel, Windter, Glen, and I.

So pristine in its beauty.

We chiseled away at it with very tiny spoons.

Slowly...

I think I'm satisfied with cakes for the next month...
