Hey everyone, it's been somewhat of a fun week despite a lot of homework (I'm looking at you statistics, where I took around 8 hours over the course of two days to finish 30 problems). Since I've been taking pictures sparingly, I really can't remember when some of these things happened.
Joy's parents came over and brought some layered Indonesian cake (spekkoek or lapis legit). Moist and delicious.
Casually taking unflattering pictures of something really good.
Afterwards, Noah tempted Glen and me into his room with free homemade cookies (which were delicious, by the way) and we set off in search of a Wii Room in ill-suited clothing (tights and flip-flops for me, no jacket for Glen). Noah, as usual, was perfectly prepared. We walked around a lot, and my toes were about to freeze off at this point, but we managed to find a Wii Room!
Classy interior. It was 20000원 for 2 hours.
Ready to ruin friendships.
Glen won everything, including all the mini games, landing on the most event spaces, and also collecting the most Ztars.
Mario Kart Black had an interesting warning screen.
Donkey Kong racing was quite possibly the most calories I've ever burnt in the space of 15 minutes. I cried from laughing so much too.
We played some Bomberman too, but left at around 12:30 because our time kept on increasing for some odd reason and we have a curfew to keep.
Strawberry flavored melona.
It was horrible eating this in the cold, and it wasn't as great as I expected it to be.
On Tuesday, we (sort-of) surprised Joy with a fresh cream from Tour de Jours!
I thought I took more pictures, but I guess not...
We went downstairs to feed the leftovers to the guys, and Joy had been wearing her Psy socks.
However, on Joy's actual birthday, I tagged along with her and her parents to go eat out.
We surprisingly ended up inside the walls of old Suwon.
Gate entrance!
Here's the place we ended up eating at.
We started climbing up the wall while it was still light out.
A temple, I assumed.
Anyway, I took off my shoes and casually walked around in my socks.
Casually intruding in on family time. I was happy that I got to take pictures for them though.
We sat at the tables because the floor gets tiring after awhile.
Our server only knew Chinese and Korean, so we had an interesting conversation.
38000원 Korean beef.
I love how my camera focuses on the wrong things.
Slightly cheaper (at 33000원) American beef, which was a lot more fatty.
Aftermath. It was way too much meat.
Impressive even at night.
I was trying to take a picture of the street lamp coverings since they had a pretty intricate design, but my camera is but a poor point-and-shoot, 5 years of age.
We stopped by Baskin Robbins for another cake for Joy.
Panda cups for ice cream scooping. Apparently even though the cakes were sliced, we were supposed to dig in with our spoons.
3rd time Joy got sung to haha.
Midterms are coming up and there's a lot of assignments I need to finish, so I haven't really been going out. But there's a trip, definitely, after midterms. Until later!
