So HR's next sponsored trip was to Everland! Everland is a pretty big and popular amusement park in Korea. It's also operated by Samsung haha.
UT exchange students took this moment to get a group internship photo with the Samsung campus sign.
Another view, which I think was actually a lot better.
One of the first signs of Everland.
The forecast looks gloomy.
We got admission and a 10,000KRW meal ticket.
We were split into teams and sent to promote Samsung.
We didn't win, and we got to explore the park afterwards!
We wandered into the safari section of the park.
And Bird Paradise!
Blurry photo of snowy owls.
This red-tailed hawk seemed really sad in this cage.
There was a dog pavilion outside of the aviary. There was also this really sad and hot looking polar bear and I really hope something gets done about its environment soon.
Gorgeous white tiger climbing into its pool because today was hot and humid.
Fennec foxes are so cute.
We went to get in line for the T Express, but we had to get a reservation pass beforehand to actually get in line apparently. So with around 15 minutes to burn, we walked about the petting zoo and took pictures with props.
Glen on his way to becoming a model.
These chickens are pretty cute.
We were waiting in line for the T Express, and it started raining so the line shut down. We ended up just eating afterwards in our depression.
Bulgogi, cheese, and spaghetti. It was so hot, it melted Glen's spoon.
Wandered into another bird house.
Budgies are so cute.
This bird said "hello" and "안녕" to me! We're close.
These birds talked a lot with one of the Everland keepers, but refused to talk to any of the visitors.
Afterwards, we went to the Revolving House, which had pretty cool effects, and then Ryan and Windter left to go back to the campus.
We got some really good soft serve!
The garden. At this point, we realized that T Express was probably reopened so we madly dashed over to get a reservation ticket.
Joy wanted a picture with this really cute giraffe.
Since we had some time to burn before our reservation time, we went on the Amazon Express tube ride, where we got our shoes completely soaked. The line went really quickly this time! And the T Express was amazing.
If you can spot it, Noah's face in the upper right hand corner of one of the photos is fantastic.
I was not ready for this camera.
Afterwards, we went to wait in line for the new safari ride Lost Valley that featured a safari tour bus that could double as a boat.
The best thing about this line was that we could look at animal exhibits while waiting. There was an albino porcupine.
Lemurs licking their toes.
Black Crowned Crane.
Hehe this moth was really cute.
I'll settle for a blurry picture with everyone in it.
Koshik is the talking elephant!
Getting on the tour bus after around 70 minutes. Prepare for some blurry pictures of animals!
This goat had cute braids in its beard.
There was a whole story about this white lion's spirit protecting the Valley, but we didn't get to see the white lion haha.
Koshik!
Lazy lions.
Not so lazy lions.
Baby giraffes are so cute.
There was a bird show where white peacocks flew down, but of course I was late for everything.
We left the park at this point because we were so tired.
The sky was really pretty. We walked around to find the shuttle bus to the subway station.
We made it to the subway just in time, because it had started to rain. This is also the biggest and most complete rainbow arc I've seen.
Walked around Mangpo to find a place to eat and found a Chinese restaurant.
It was delicious!
We found out that nearly all of us got sunburned, one way or the other, and that we were so exhausted. We all went back home to take showers and relax. One more week until the internship ends!
